Hi Harry, the minimum deposit for a unit is 5% plus costs (stamp duty if applicable, transfer fees, mortgage fees, bank fees, conveyancing, building & pest etc). If you qualify for the First Home Owners Grant, the deposit can be less.

Hi Harry, Thanks for contacting HAshching for your loan query. It would be best if you could let us know your best time to have a quick chat as we would like to know a bit more about you. We have a wide variety of solution for all kind of situations eg. Although a customer could be on low income, we can get a Family guarantee to service the loan or there might be a change in your circumstances in near future eg better job or pay rise etc. Once we have full information, we could then suggest you few options for you to look at. Please feel free to contact myself or any of my colleagues below for further chat. Good luck!

Hi Harry - Buying a small unit is better for you - in that you wont have to pay rent any more - which is just wasted money. You need a 5% deposit and stamp duty for the block of land - or just the 5% plus Mortgage Insurance for the unit. If its your first home, you will also be stamp duty exempt. Let me know If I can help. Regards Daniel.

Hello Harry, I assume that your looking to buy land or a small unit for the purpose of making it your principal place of residence ( as oppose to an investment property). in which case the minimise deposit is 5%.
