Hi Angela, I've got a tailored calculator to handle this exact enquiry. We just need to know the penalty's from your bank for finishing early. After we've conducted the calculation if your saving for refinancing early is not greater than the fees associated were better off waiting until the fixed term expiry. But let's see if its worth doing now. Just click on my profile to get the ball rolling...

Angela, Good evening and thank you for your question. Apologies that I have not been able to respond sooner, it has been a busy day.It appears that your main criteria is to start making some additional repayments. Please do not make this the main reason for choosing a different Lender with only four months to run on your fixed rate contract. You have not mentioned the actual rate you are paying, however with only four months to run we need to look at what your current Lender is offering post April 2017 compared to the available market (now that may or may not be a good reason to change). Also, if you are "sitting" on vacant land and earning an income from it, this would be against the policy of most Lenders for residential lending criteria. So you would need to be able to demonstrate affordability without any such income. In addition to this, many Lenders will want to fully understand your future intentions. Ie, there main game is to finance houses, not vacant land. Vacant land can clearly be an entry point, however we should look at your future intention to build and acknowledge a budget for this with demonstration of that affordability within the foreseeable future. In short, I am suggesting it is way too early to be considering future lenders, products or interest rates, however I would be than happy to chat with you on your goals and objectives and then fit the Lenders / products / rates that suit you best (who knows, it may still be your existing Lender). Please review my profile and click through should you wish the Hashching system to "hook us up"Best RegardsKen Olds

Hi AngelaThank you for your enquiry The first step I would recommend is approaching your current lender and see if you get a cheaper / better deal. (This would be the most cost-efficient way for you).If this is fruitless you should come back to this website, so approximate 2 – 3 months before the expiry date of your current fix loan, and fill in the enquiry form so a broker close to you can contact you and search for the best loan suitable to your circumstances All the best
