Hi Jimmy, you are to be congratulated for seeking guidance into the first step towards a very exciting journey in property ownership. As my colleagues in this thread have suggested, nothing you have mentioned would suggest you wouldn't secure a home loan, however , to be able to give you an informed response you would need to provide further information around employment, property type, property value and so on. By all means reach out via my profile or any of my colleagues as Im sure one of us would be in a position to assist. Have an awesome day! Regards Joanne

Hi Jimmy it could be possible, depending on the factors mentioned above. You've done well to have savings of $30,000 with no debts. Even if you are not ready yet, it would be great to talk to you so I can lead you down the right path to owning your home. Feel free to contact me through my profile. Bernie

Hi Jimmy, thanks for your question. I specialise in first home buyers so would very much like to talk to you further about your options. There is nothing that you have mentioned that would preclude you from getting a home loan, it just comes down to how much the banks will lend to you and if this will be enough for you to buy something that you like. Things I would need to know are if your income is before or after tax, how many dependants you have, what your living expenses are etc. Click on my profile if you'd like to talk further. Thanks, Alex

Hi Jimmy, It's great you're are looking into your options to purchase your own home. Many sole income families can take out a loan but there are many factors to consider, for example loan value, other debts and dependants to name a few. Your required deposit will also vary based on your ideal purchase price and possibly if you have owned a home before. I am happy to provide a breakdown of costs and borrowing power for you if you like. Feel free to contact me through my profile. Cherie
