Hi Andrew - firstly, congratulations on embarking on the home loan journey. It is a very exciting time but I understand that issue of a default can be stressful. A small default like you describe won't necessarily stop you from getting a home loan approved, but there are things you can do to resolve it - as it is better to go in with a clean slate. Creditors will remove defaults if you can demonstrate they are wrong or you can make arrangements with them to pay it off. Either way, the key is communication. Please feel free to contact me via my online profile to assist you further. Kind regards, Rob Emmett, Collins Home Loans

Morning Andrew, If the default should not be on there it should be able to be removed. If this is possible you will have a better choice in home loan products. We have options for you in having this struck off your credit report.

Hi Andrew, I specialize in First Home Buyers. A small default is mostly acceptable, as long as a written explanation is provided. Everything else seems like a strong deal. Please feel free to contact me via our HashChing portal, I would love to help, Have a great day, Helena

Hi Andrew, I concur with the other brokers that such small default would not hinder your chances of getting a home loan to buy your first home. Would be happy to obtain an updated copy of your credit report and provide advice and assistance to remove the record. Would also be happy to discuss your eligibility for FHOG, stamp duty exemption etc depending on the type of property you wish to purchase.

Hi Andrew Thanks for your question No, the default will not stop you to get a home loan, with a low-interest rate. You could ask the company to remove the default. However, the score number is important as well I'm in WA, and you can find me via the broker finder I'm happy to guide you through Enjoy your weekend

Hi Andrew A relatively small debt that should not stop you from getting a loan with most of the major banks. If it is there by mistake your first step should be to call whomever the debt is with and discuss the issue with them. If they agree that it is a mistake they may remove it straight away. I am a broker in Baldivis WA if you are looking for someone to help with your situation Regards Nathan

Hi Andrew, It wont stop you from applying for a home loan. There are lenders that will consider lending to customers with a default.
